We get on the roof, look at the decking where we can and write down what it needs.
Step 2
A written breakdown
You get the cost broken down in writing, with the shingle, the warranty and the color options on it.
Step 3
A date
We set the day the crew comes, and they come on it.
Step 4
Tear-off and new roof
The old roof comes off and the new one goes on. Many single-story homes are done in a day.
Step 5
Cleanup
The yard is cleared of nails and debris before the crew leaves.

- The size of the roof and how steep it is.
- The shingle you choose.
- Decking that turns out to be rotten once the old roof is off.

Questions about a new roof
How long does a replacement take?
Many single-story homes take a day. A bigger or steeper roof takes longer, and the date depends on the weather.
Is there a warranty?
There's a service warranty on our work, and a limited lifetime warranty on the shingles we put on.
Do impact-resistant shingles lower my premium?
Some Texas insurers give a discount for them. Ask your agent for the figure before you choose.
